This genre bending dj/producer is at the forefront of creating experimental electronica, and has blazed the path for Colorado-based live electronic acts such as Lotus and Pretty Lights. Praised for using live, not sampled, musicians to create a sexy, upbeat blend of house, latin, funk and jazz, DJ Harry was named to the prestigious URB NEXT 100 list, had his hit song “All My Life” featured in over a dozen television shows and films including House, The OC, Who Killed the Electric Car, has been featured on CNN Radio and NPR, and recently opened for Thievery Corporation in Colorado.
In 2001, sensing the similarities between jam bands and electronica, DJ Harry approached his friends in the String Cheese Incident about fusing the two genres. The resulting The String Cheese Remix Project is a 66-minute continuous mix album, 90 percent of which is samples taken from the band’s live recording archive. Jans Ingber, frequent lead vocalist for Boulder-based The Motet, will join Harry on percussion, contributing to a unique and truly "live" take on remixing one of the best psychedelic jamrock bands around.
